Steven Kikoen is singer, guitarist, leader, shaman, and founding member of Prognosis.

Steve is a first call guitarist and singer in Chicago. He is a composer and arranger, as well as the owner of Deacon Productions––which produces Five All-Star Tributes which include Deacon Blues (Steely Dan) and Prognosis (Peter Gabriel, Genesis, YES, ELP, King Crimson, & Jethro Tull), as well as Big Suit (Talking Heads), The Lotus Kings (Santana––featuring Cecy Santana), and The Great Pretenders (Chrissy Hynde and The Pretenders). Steve also has an original project called River North Allstars that also features 7-Time Grammy Winner Paul Wertico, and Chicago bass legend Richard Patterson (Miles David, Boz Scaggs, Michael Mcdonald). Steve's passion for Prog dates back to hearing Roundabout and Thick As A Brick as a teenager. Fast forward lo these many years, and the teenage youth Chorale that he directs performed on stage with YES, Steve Howe, and Jon Anderson. Steve composed an original arrangement for YES and The Lincolnwood Chorale––with the Jon Anderson penned song Nine Voices (Longwalker), and has also composed original choral music music for Jon which will be released in 2021. Steve calls Peter Gabriel a friend and colleague.

Steve is a complete multi-instrumentalist––he is a tremendous guitarist who is equally well known as an exemplary singer, keyboardist, bassist, and frontman extraordinaire. Add to this his passion for graphic design, marketing & advertising, and this guy is wearing way too many hats––but if the hats fit . . . –– Gerald Bostock

Steve plays Gibson, Fender, Strandberg, Godin, Martin, Rickenbacker, Bludotone, and AER among other instruments.
